Governor Makes the Case for Medicaid Expansion across Virginia

Governor Terry McAuliffe is coming to a town near you. He’s traveling across Virginia to highlight people and places that would benefit from Medicaid Expansion.┬áHe started his visits by going to a hospital in Loudoun county last week and talking to staff there about what Medicaid Expansion would mean for the hospital, for jobs in the area and for the Virginians who are served by the hospital.

The Governor has made it clear that getting health care coverage for Virginians is his top priority in this budget. Meanwhile, the House and Senate have are at odds over passing a budget that includes Medicaid Expansion.

He’s tried to make his case to the House of Delegates in Richmond, with limited success. So now, he’s making his case to the people of Virginia, going out to talk to Virginians in their communities to hear their stories about how important it is that we accept the Federal funds and expand coverage.
